The KMC e12 EPT bike chains are extremely durable and rust-resistant due to their EcoProTeQ (EPT) coating. This coating makes mud, sand and salt have little, if any, effect on weathering this chain. As a result, the chain lasts longer even when often exposed to bad weather conditions! Also, the pins are reinforced to make the chain suitable for use on electric bikes.

EPT coating for extreme durability
The EcoProTeQ (EPT) coating on this KMC chain is eco-friendly and non-toxic, and makes the chain highly corrosion-resistant. Because each chain component is individually treated with the EPT coating, water, salt and humidity have no chance of affecting the chain.

E-bike compatibility
E-bike optimised KMC chains feature modified components to be able to withstand high forces during shifting, constant loads and increased mileage.

In short, the KMC e12 EPT is a highly durable chain that withstands extreme forces and lasts a long time even when often used in bad weather conditions.
